- Caron® Simply Soft™ Contrast B Coal
- Size U.S. L/11 (8 mm) crochet hook and U.S. H/8 (5mm) crochet hook
- 2 large black buttons for eyes
- Tapestry needle
- Polyester fiberfill
Optional: For use as pajama or soft toy storage, you will require one 18″ [45.5 cm] long zipper or 4 large buttons.

Note: Ch 3 at beg of rnd counts as dc. With larger hook and A, ch 4. Join with sl st to first ch to form ring.
1st rnd: Ch 3. 14 dc in ring. Join with sl st to top of ch 3. 15 dc.
2nd rnd: Ch 3. 1 dc in same sp as last sl st. 2 dc in each dc around. Join with sl st to top of ch 3. 30 dc.
3rd rnd: Ch 3. 1 dc in same sp as last sl st. *1 dc in next dc. 2 dc in next dc. Rep from * to last dc. 1 dc in last dc. Join with sl st to top of ch 3. 45 dc.
4th rnd: Ch 3. 1 dc in same sp as last sl st. *1 dc in each of next 2 dc. 2 dc in next dc. Rep from * to last 2 dc. 1 dc in each of last 2 dc. Join with sl st to top of ch 3. 60 dc.
5th rnd: Ch 3. 1 dc in same sp as last sl st. * 1 dc in each of next 3 dc. 2 dc in next dc. Rep from * to last 3 dc. 1 dc in each of last 3 dc. Join with sl st to top of ch 3. 75 dc.

EYES (make 2):
With larger hook and B, ch 2. 1st rnd: 14 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join with sl st to first sc. 14 sc. 2nd rnd: Ch 1. 2 sc in each sc around. Join with sl st to first sc. 28 sc. 3rd rnd: 4 hdc in first sc. *Skip next sc. Sl st in next sc. Skip next sc. 4 hdc in next sc. Rep from * to last 3 sc. Skip next sc. Sl st in next sc. Skip last sc. Join with sl st to first hdc. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
EYE OUTLINE:
With larger hook, join A with sl st around any sc in 2nd rnd. *Insert hook behind post of next sc from right to left and pull up a loop. Draw through loop on hook. Rep from * around. Join with sl st to first sl st. Fasten off.
NOSE:
With smaller hook and C, ch 2. 1st rnd: 12 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join with sl st to first sc. 12 sc. 2nd rnd: Ch 3 (counts as dc). 1 hdc in first sc. 1 sc in each of next 3 sc. (1 hdc. 1 dc) in next sc. 1 sc in each of next 3 sc. (1 hdc. 1 dc. 1 hdc) in next sc. 1 sc in each of next 3 sc. Join with sl st to top of ch 3. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
FINISHING:
Stuff Body. Sew top edge of Body tog. Sew Eyes, buttons and Nose in position as shown in photo. Optional: To use as pajama or soft toy storage, sew in zipper along top edge or make button loops and sew on buttons to correspond to loops.
