Crochet baby Cardigan

This darling cardigan is the perfect little topper for party time or play time! Worked from the top down using a combination of single and half double crochet stitches with some gentle front shaping, this versatile piece comes together easily. The collar, which is worked afterwards completes this adorable look. Bernat Baby Velvet is silky soft to the touch, and conveniently machine washable and dryable, making this a new easy-care favorite!

1st row: (WS). Ch 1. Work sc evenly down Left Front, across Back and up Right Front. Turn. Place markers for 4 buttonholes on Right Front ½” [1 cm] down from neck edge, 4½ (4¾-5-5¼)” [11.5 (12-12.5-13.5) cm] down from neck edge, and rem 2 markers spaced evenly between.

2nd row: (RS). Ch 1. (1 sc in each sc to next marker. Ch 1. Skip next sc) 4 times. 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Do not turn.

3rd row: (RS). Ch 1. Working from right to left instead of left to right as usual, work 1 reverse sc in each sc or ch-1 sp to end of row. Fasten off.

Collar

With RS of garment facing, join yarn with sl st to Right Neck, skipping Button band and working into opposite side of foundation ch.
