INSTRUCTIONS
Notes: Body is worked in one piece to armholes. Ch 2 at beg of row does not count as hdc.
Ribbing: With smaller hook, ch 10. 1st row: (RS). 1 hdc in 3rd ch from hook. 1 hdc in each ch to end of chain. Turn. 8 hdc. 2nd row: Ch 2. Work 1 hdc in horizontal bar created below st in previous row (bar is below loops normally worked on WS-see diagram) in each hdc to end of row. Turn.
Rep last row until Ribbing (when slightly stretched) measures 21 (22- 23-24)” [53.5 (56-58.5-61) cm], ending on a WS row. Do not turn. Change to larger hook and proceed as follows: Body: 1st row: (WS). Ch 1. Working across straight side edge of ribbing, work 67 (71-75-79) sc evenly across edge. Turn.
2nd row: Ch 2. 1 hdc in first sc. Bobble in next sc. *1 hdc in each of next 3 sc. Bobble in next sc. Rep from * to last sc. 1 hdc in last sc. Turn. 3rd row: Ch 2. 1 hdc in each st to end of row. Turn. 4th row: Ch 2. 1 hdc in first hdc. Bobble in next hdc. 1 hdc in each hdc to last 2 hdc. Bobble in next hdc. 1 hdc in last hdc. Turn. 5th row: As 3rd row. Divide for armhole of Back and Fronts:
Right Front: (RS). Ch 2. 1 hdc in first hdc. Bobble in next hdc. 1 hdc in each of next 15 (16-17-18) hdc. Turn. Leave rem sts unworked. 17 (18-19-20) sts. 2nd row: Ch 2. 1 hdc in each st to end of row. Turn. 3rd row: Ch 2. 1 hdc in first hdc. Bobble in next hdc. 1 hdc in each hdc to end of row. Turn. Rep last 2 rows until work from armhole divide measures 3 (3½-4- 4)” [7.5 (9-10-10) cm], ending on a WS row.
Shape neck:
1st row: (RS). Sl st in each of first 4 (5-5-6) hdc. Ch 1. Hdc2tog. 1 hdc in each hdc to end of row. Turn. 12 (12-13-13) sts. 2nd row: Ch 2. 1 hdc in each hdc to last 2 sts. Hdc2tog. Turn. 11 (11- 12-12) sts. 3rd row: Ch 2. Hdc2tog. 1 hdc in each hdc to end of row. Fasten off. 10 (10-11-11) sts.
Back:
With RS facing, join yarn with sl st to next unworked hdc. 1st row: Ch 2. 1 hdc same hdc as last sl st. 1 hdc in each of next 32 (34-36-38) hdc. Turn. Leave rem sts unworked. 2nd row: Ch 2. 1 hdc in each hdc across. Turn. Rep last row until Back measures same length as Right Front. Fasten off.
Left Front:

Sew shoulder seams. Sew in sleeves. Sew sleeve seams.
Buttonhole Band:
1st row: (RS). Join yarn with sl st to bottom right corner. Ch 1. Work 34 (36-40-42) sc evenly up Right Front.
2nd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each of next 2 (3-3-2) sc. *Ch 2. Skip next 2 sc. 1 sc in each of next 5 (5-6-7) sc. Rep from * 3 times more. Ch 2. Skip next 2 sc. 1 sc in each of next 2 (3- 3-2) sc. Button Band:
